Pregnancy, Postpartum & Bonding

Pregnancy, Postpartum & Bonding

Do you notice a disconnect with your baby or toddler? Do you feel like there is something missing in your bond? Do you feel “numb” or emotionally removed during your pregnancy? Do you have trouble understanding your baby? Are you and your toddler so similar that your emotions escalate around one-another?

Often these dynamics are indicative of a shift that needs to occur in the family, an old wound that needs to be healed, or undiagnosed pregnancy or postpartum struggles. Sometimes the issue is that one parent is very connected with the baby, while the other feels like an outsider.  I will help you make sense of and work through these distressing patterns to feel more connected to yourself, your baby, and your partner.

We have specialized training working with pregnant and postpartum parents, as well as their babies and young children, in various treatment settings. Our extensive experience working with both adults and children makes us uniquely poised to understand what you and your child are experiencing and effectively treat your whole family. In addition to talking with you, we will gently coach and model ways to improve your bond with your child (including during pregnancy).

Together we can recalibrate your relationship with your child so you can feel the sense of connection you’re wanting and increase moments of joy and togetherness.
