Unfulfilling Relationships & Insecure Attachment
Unfulfilling Relationships & Insecure Attachment
Are you experiencing any of these common relationship difficulties?
Dating but struggling to find the right long-term partner
Bouncing from relationship to relationship
Staying in a relationship that is not a good match
Feeling unsure or ambivalent about your relationship
You may have what is known as an insecure attachment style.
Our attachment style, or the way we approach relationships, is formed in the earliest years of life when our caregiver is: reliable & consistent, comforting, accepting of our emotions, affirming of our identities.
When we don’t have this type of early relationship or it gets interrupted by stressful life events, we are more likely to have trouble finding and sustaining healthy adult relationships.
This can feel insurmountable. But it does not have to stay this way. Through forming a safe relationship with you in therapy, we’ll help you break free from these patterns and heal the core wounds that led to these cycles in the first place.
